Responsible for the leadership and daily operations of Facilities departments and its staff. The department includes hospital and clinic facilities operations. Responsible for Health System Energy Management and Biomed Engineering. Maintains survey readiness for The Joint Commission and California Department of Public Health surveys. Assigns work orders and follows-up on completion by staff. Reviews engineering proposals presented by vendors for air handlers, pumps, and other mechanical equipment. Identifies vendors to provide competitive bids for projects and follows these projects to completion.

Education:
Required: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology
Preferred: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology
Licensure/Certification:
N/A
Experience:
Required: Three (3) years of Engineering, Facilities, or Construction Management leadership experience
Preferred: Hospital experience
Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
Manages work order system for repairs, planned maintenance and productivity; assigns and coordinates completion of work orders to front-line staff.
Works with a variety of vendors and clinical department leaders to schedule and maintain equipment, review proposals, and negotiate service contracts.
Manages utility consumption and develops energy management programs.
Creates staff schedules, prepares reports for surveys, and conducts safety rounds.
Performs staff evaluations, provides leadership, and ensures policy compliance.
Oversees procurement, reviews biomedical equipment requests, and manages system operations.
Assists in developing policies and collaborates with other departments.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Possesses knowledge of facility equipment, schematics, and troubleshooting.
Demonstrates leadership, effective communication, and stress management skills.
