Summary Regeneron’s Vivarium team, located in Tarrytown NY, is seeking a capable Director, Vivarium Business Planning and Operations . In this exciting role, you will partner with the VP of the Vivarium to drive strategic growth, planning, and operations across the department. The strategic imperatives of this role include goal setting, resource management, standardization of process and procedures, issue identification, mitigation and issue resolution. As Director you will also help establish a high-performing, strategic, effective and quality-focused organization and will cultivate a climate of operational excellence, innovation and continuous improvement. A Typical Day in the Role of Director Might Look Like: Key senior liaison to the executive leadership, working closely with the leadership on communication and achieving the strategic goals of the department. Responsible for modernization and standardization of processes, metrics, and communication to build efficiencies within the Vivarium. Independently identifies areas for process improvement and proposes quality solutions. Develop and execute guidelines and procedures in partnership with leadership team, HR and Legal (example: absence management, procedures for inclement weather, etc.) Manage and partner closely with team managers to ensure consistency in workflow, policies, and procedures, ensuring they are administered and deployed consistently and effectively, and that output and deliverables are tracked Enable resource management through forecasting, oversight, and budgeting, including:Assessing headcount needs for permanent and temporary staff, and tracking approval processes for permanent rolesMonitoring budgets for materialsOptimizing space utilization to ensure proper allocation for vivarium users Develop and maintain relationships with cross-departmental and functional stakeholders to ensure all operations are aligned to the goals and the initiatives of the department and R&pD Champion of communication between the groups within the department and the vivarium users/scientific investigators. Responsible for topics and content for departmental communications and Town Halls. In order to be considered,  this role requires a BS/MS degree with 10-12 years of relevant R&D operational and project management experience in the drug development/pharmaceutical industry. Ability to lead, coordinate, and facilitate development, alignment, and execution of project plans and budget forecasts.
