Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $93,900 - Midpoint: $126,800 (Salaried E14) Department/Organization: 219101 - University Libraries Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm Job Summary: The Director of University Libraries Financial Affairs oversees all accounting and budgeting activities for University Libraries. Ensures application of accounting principles, practices, and techniques in accordance with industry standards, current laws, and University policy. Manages resources of assigned areas to accomplish goals and objectives. Supervises accounting and other staff, as well as provide guidance and direction to other department staff. Additional Department Summary: Directs all financial operations, grants and contracts administration, endowments and cash gifts management, building management, construction, renovations, and Human Resources (faculty, staff & students) for University Libraries. Serves as a member of the Library Executive Committee, which also includes the Dean of University Libraries, Senior Associate Dean of University Libraries, Associate Dean for Special Collections, Associate Dean for Information Technology, and Associate Dean for Research and User Services. Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related financial field and eight (8) years of accounting experience; OR Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and six (6) years of accounting experience. Skills and Knowledge: Ability to expertly use and apply technology to provide positive, efficient, and effective results. Ability to manage and oversee complex projects and develop logistical plans. Excellent communicate skills, both verbal and in written. Ability to adapt to changing environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a similar education environment. Experience in managing complex budgets and handling large fiscal transactions. Experience with supervision of facility construction and renovation projects. Experience with directing facility maintenance and management. Experience using Banner, Concur, PageUp, and PeopleAdmin. Knowledge of building maintenance and construction.
