We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Director, Tax Accounting. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA or New York, NY.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
Collaborate with senior management to ensure that the appropriate corporate tax policies, methods, standards, processes, reporting, and training are developed, applied and operating.
Detailed knowledge of corporate tax processes and of all areas of tax accounting and reporting
Manage activities related to the overall tax accounting, reporting, and compliance, for both domestic and consolidated taxes.
Responsible for worldwide effective tax rate forecasting
Research tax aspects of new products and services and calculate and review the tax impacts of transactions.
Coordinate and manage federal tax audits with IRS.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
Candidates should be proficient in all aspects of income tax accounting.
In depth knowledge of federal, state, and international tax laws and regulations is required.
Successful candidates will have responsibility for assembling, maintaining, and analyzing domestic and international tax information used in the preparation of various financial statements, regulatory reports, and tax returns.
Successful candidates will provide functional guidance to the team and be responsible for developing and maintaining documentation for internal and external audits.
Successful candidates will lead various aspects of the quarterly tax provision process.
Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
MBA, CPA, and/or MST are preferred.
Experience using OneSource tax software is preferred.
12-15 years of work experience

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $127,000 and $190,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
