As the Director, Supply Chain, you will oversee inventory management and purchasing to ensure a reliable supply and competitive fill rates for Texas growth. This individual will have strong collaboration with the local Branch Leaders and act as the ultimate purchasing escalation point for the business at the local/state level.

Responsibilities

You will:

  • Organize, train and coach purchasing teams deployed across Texas
  • Understand and communicate market factors affecting price and availability of essential materials
  • Negotiate with suppliers to address performance issues affecting costs and customer service.
  • Lead quality and continuous improvement
  • Manage the assortment conversion process in collaboration with our Strategic Sourcing and Category Management teams
  • Manage and review all purchases and contract negotiations completed by the Purchasing team.
  • Collaborate with Sales Leadership to balance strategic vendor relationships and cost reduction initiatives against customer preferences
  • Conduct inventory analysis to solve inventory issues. Investigate inventory adjustments and count discrepancies as needed.

Qualifications

You have:

  • 10+ years of experience in purchasing and inventory management.
  • 4+ years of purchasing leadership experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • 25% travel within the state of Texas
  • Ability to think objectively and interpret the meaning of quantitative and qualitative data with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Salary: $145,000 - 165,000 + bonus

Work schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm
