Position Summary:
The Director of Student and Academic Affairs plays a central role in supporting student success and engagement at the College of Dental Medicine – Henderson Campus. This position partners with faculty, staff, and student leaders to promote academic excellence, leadership development, and community connection.
Essential Functions:
- Student Engagement & Leadership: Lead student life initiatives, mentor leadership groups, and organize key campus events.
- Event Coordination & Collaboration: Coordinate major CODM ceremonies and events across campuses, support Admissions, and manage applicant tours.
- Academic & Professional Development: Support student success by advising on academics, professionalism, and career development while addressing concerns and connecting students with university resources.
- Assessment & Student Progress: Coordinate exams and remediation, manage logistics and accommodations, and track student progress to support academic success.
- Compliance & Student Support: Ensure compliance with FERPA and HIPAA, monitor student progress, and support initiatives that promote student success and the College’s mission.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Master’s degree desirable
- Previous experience in academia preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook) with experience using Canvas, ExamSoft, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and database platforms.
