We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Director, Asset Servicing Strategy to join our Asset Servicing team . This role is located in New York City, NY.
This position is critical for the company's long-term success and sustainability. The financial services industry is undergoing rapid changes and disruptions due to evolving market trends, technological innovations, regulatory shifts, customer preferences, and competitive pressures. The company needs a visionary and experienced team member who can join the Asset Servicing Commercial team, guide the group’s strategic direction, and help it adapt to the changing market conditions and customer needs. The Strategy and Executive Insights Lead will lead a team that plays a key role in shaping the company's future and ensuring its continued growth and profitability.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
Leading the definition, development & communication of Asset Servicing’s strategic vision and goals ensuring alignment across Business Platforms & Geographies.
Working closely with senior management, business units, and external partners to identify, analyze, and prioritize strategic opportunities and initiatives that drive growth, profitability, and competitive advantage.
Overseeing the implementation and monitoring of the strategic plan and ensure alignment with the company's mission, values, and objectives.
Embedding internal & external data and intelligence sources into our strategic assessment of opportunities for growth and expansion
Collaborating with Business Development Teams to support Executive Strategic Engagement with significant clients
Improving BNY’s Asset Servicing External profile through regular Thought Leadership programs aligned to our strategic vision & goals.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following :
A master's degree or higher in business administration or a related field
12+ years of related experience
Experience managing and leading teams
Proven track record of leading and managing complex strategic projects and initiatives from inception to completion.
Vast experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, or strategic planning in the financial services industry
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Intellectual curiosity - interested in the future of financial services and shaping an industry through one of its major stakeholders.
Thoughtful communicator who can express complex ideas in simple, practical terms for a wide range audiences.
Ability to influence and collaborate with senior executives and stakeholders across the organization.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $127,000 and $273,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance and market factors.
