What We Are Looking For VML is seeking a Director Strategy to lead digital engagement for an iconic automotive brand. This role requires a proven leader with experience translating insights into innovative product solutions that address business challenges and create inspiring experiences. The Director Strategy will collaborate with internal teams and clients on insight generation, platform transitions, product roadmaps, and leading UX and digital experiences.
The ideal candidate is proactive, user-focused, passionate about connecting physical and digital experiences, and innovative in approach. This role reports directly to the Executive Director Strategy .
Responsibilities
Translate client business priorities into digital experiences.
Work with analytics teams to develop measurement and optimization strategies.
Build trusted client relationships and collaborate with creative, data, tech, and project teams.
Present strategy and approach confidently to clients.
Coordinate with project managers to develop timelines and plans.
Conduct audience analysis and competitive assessments.
Ensure strategy influences consumer-facing implementations with UX and tech teams.
Qualifications
7+ years of strategy experience in advertising, digital, or related fields, with interest in automotive and EV markets.
Experience with digital products such as websites, e-commerce, SaaS, or apps.
Strong point of view, confidence, and openness to feedback.
Experience working within Agile or SAFe frameworks.
Knowledge of enterprise websites and large support teams.
Focus on optimization and efficiency with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work both strategically and tactically.
Cross-discipline knowledge including data and SEO.

Salary range: $75,000 - $180,000 USD. Compensation varies based on location, experience, and qualifications. We support hybrid work arrangements and provide accommodations as needed.
