Director, Strategic Finance

Vera Therapeutics (Nasdaq: VERA), a late-stage biotechnology company focused on developing treatments for serious immunological diseases, is seeking a Director, Strategic Finance. Vera's mission is to advance treatments that target the source of immunologic diseases in order to change the standard of care for patients. The Director, Strategic Finance will report to the Executive Director, Corporate Finance and Strategy and will be responsible for supporting Vera's long-range plan and broad strategic initiatives at Vera. Working with the finance and business leadership team as well as key cross-functional personnel including business development, commercial, clinical, and development operations, this position will support the company's long-term strategic and financial initiatives. Responsibilities include leading long range planning, working closely with Finance & Accounting to support capital formation strategy, preparing materials for investor relations events, conducting industry research, aiding in cash runway analyses, organizing and managing special projects, and developing and maintaining productive relationships across the company. Qualifications include 10+ years of relevant experience in biotech and/or corporate finance, a BS and/or MBA, a track record of developing and executing on strategic initiatives, top-notch financial, strategic planning, and business planning skills, robust understanding of valuation and financial concepts, excellent communication and presentation skills, exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills, high energy, strong organizational skills, ability to multitask and work in a dynamic, fast paced environment, experience in leading change, and ability to travel up to ~20% based on company need.
