Overview Nordstrom’s Brand Social team is a key driver of long-term, sustainable growth for the Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack brands. As Director, Social Content & Engagement , you will lead the strategic vision and execution of our brand’s presence across social platforms. This role is responsible for innovating and evolving our approach to brand and creator content, community engagement, and integrated paid and organic strategies. You will serve as a senior leader and cross-functional collaborator, driving brand storytelling, platform innovation, and measurable business impact. You will be accountable for shaping the future of Social at Nordstrom, building and developing a high-performing team, and partnering closely with Creative, PR, Communications, and Media to deliver best-in-class campaigns. Your leadership will amplify our brand voice, deepen customer engagement, and enable social commerce from discovery to purchase. This role can be located in Seattle, WA or New York, NY.

A day in the life… Responsibilities Lead the development and execution of Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack’s Brand Social and Influencer strategy, ensuring alignment with broader brand and business objectives Drive innovation across social platforms, identifying emerging trends, technologies, and content formats to keep the brand at the forefront of digital engagement You are a creator and a strategist in one. You oversee the integration of paid and organic social strategies, ensuring cohesive storytelling and performance optimization across all channels Oversee close partnership with Creative, Brand PR, Communications, and Media teams to deliver high-impact, on-brand content and campaigns Establish and scale community engagement strategies, including localized and experiential activations that connect customers with store environments Represent Nordstrom in key social platform partnerships, advocating for innovation opportunities and early access to new features Define and implement robust measurement frameworks to evaluate performance, inform strategy, and communicate impact to senior leadership Serve as a thought leader and internal advocate for Social and Community, educating stakeholders and championing a culture of experimentation and agility Manage a team of Marketing professionals; contribute to the growth and development of a high-performing team leveraging best practices and new tools and providing coaching and performance feedback Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field; advanced degree preferred 8+ years of experience in social media, influencer marketing, and/or digital brand leadership, preferably within fashion or retail A track record of building inclusive, collaborative team cultures that foster creativity and accountability Demonstrated success in developing and executing integrated social strategies that drive brand and business results Strong analytical skills and experience with social media analytics platforms Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Strong leadership presence with proven ability to lead through influence and drive alignment across diverse stakeholders Deep understanding of brand voice, customer focus, and cultural relevance Benefits Medical/Vision, Dental, Retirement and Paid Time Away Life Insurance and Disability Merchandise Discount and EAP Resources Nordstrom will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with all legal requirements.
