This role involves developing, managing, and growing profitable banking relationships with high-net-worth clients, primarily law firms and lawyers. Responsibilities include designing solutions for complex balance sheet management, executing business plans to increase banking revenue, and working collaboratively within teams to identify and make referrals.
U.S. Only: The position requires acting as an originator of consumer loans under Regulation Z, Regulation G, and the S.A.F.E. Act, with mandatory federal registration and background checks.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop internal and external networks for referrals and visibility.
Use a planning-based approach to develop and execute growth strategies.
Provide superior service to high-net-worth clients, aiming to be their trusted advisor.
Lead deal teams to meet client needs.
Manage client relationships, review banking needs, and seek expansion opportunities.
Recommend strategic initiatives based on business understanding.
Analyze emerging trends and inform decision-making.
Incorporate financial planning principles into client strategies.
Collaborate on strategic direction and complex projects.
Conduct analysis to resolve strategic issues.
Support strategic initiatives and build stakeholder relationships.
Break down problems, analyze data, and provide insights.
Monitor performance and address issues.
Train and support team members, including guidance on credit and operational issues.
Ensure high-quality information for decision-making.
Contribute to profitability through expense control and pricing strategies.
Negotiate pricing to build a profitable portfolio.
Provide customized financial advice to help clients achieve goals.
Represent BMO positively in the market.
Adhere to policies, legal, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain knowledge of banking products, processes, and regulations.
Document and verify activities, respond to audits, and manage risks.
Support sales and service activities to meet client needs.
Build rapport and trust with clients.
Operate as a resource at an enterprise level, addressing complex situations.
Implement changes in response to market trends.
Qualifications:
Typically 7+ years of relevant experience with a related post-secondary degree or equivalent.
Must meet licensing and certification requirements.
In-depth knowledge of credit products, sales, and client service skills.
Proven business development success.
Strong relationship management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and resolve complex issues.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making skills.
Salary:
$102,000.00 - $190,000.00
Pay Type:
