Applied Controls is a subsidiary of FloWorks International LLC, which is a privately held company located in Houston, Texas.
We are seeking a dynamic and results driven Sales Director who will prospect and analyze target groups and new business opportunities through market research and developing marketing initiatives. Identifies, pursues, and acquires profitable business relationships with new customers. Develops leads, conducts pre-proposal visitations, and assists technical staff with proposal preparation. Leads negotiations to obtain new customers. Manage selling and customer service activities, developing and implementing sales and customer retention programs to optimize sales performance, profitability and customer satisfaction. Plan forecast and report on sales and competitive pricing, activities and tactics. Promote market and technology research.
Key Responsibilities
- Discover, Build and Maintain face to face relationships with key clients to grow new business, ensure satisfaction, and develop trust in our solutions
- Uncover new opportunities for Analyzer System Solutions for new and specific applications of Industrial markets where we want to grow our business
- Manage and develop direct reports, including inside sales, outside sales and special product sales
- Communicate with local client/local authorities to discuss needs for project requirements
- Communicates and negotiates special pricing and product availability with top vendors/partners
- Plans and implements district advertising and promotional strategy and activities
- Produce and analyze sales reports for opportunities and establish initiatives to address deficiencies
Qualifications:
- Strong sales management background
- Industrial and Commercial industry and product knowledge
- Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles and practical experience
- Manages a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervises support staff
- Willingness to travel to various locations for Sales Development (up to 50% in the U.S.)
- Enthusiastic Energy to interact with clients and internal teams
- Bachelor's degree BE/BS/BA is a plus.
- Existing experience in sales development roles within the measurement and instrumentation industry – Analyzer Systems is a plus

Work Environment
This role operates in a professional office environment with flexibility for hybrid work. Standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers are used. Occasional visits to warehouses or operational sites may be required. Typically requires overnight travel, up to 50% of the time in the U.S.
