The Director, Sales Private Label will lead the planning, sales, and execution of the Private Label business across all markets. It is the responsibility of this role to engage the customers at the highest level for building our business across these important customer partners. The role of the Director, Sales Private Label is for the design and development of products for Private Label inclusive of merchandising strategies, budgeting, sales targets, and profit objectives. The role is responsible for creating and executing on an annual budget including Sales, Gross Profit, Compensation, and other sales related expenses. Essential Functions

  • Develop, prepare, execute, and achieve a yearly sales plan and budget.
  • Develop and execute upon successful go-to-market strategies for the Private Label business.
  • Lead sales teams in direction of customers and the development of the overall account/customer strategy for delivering budgeted sales targets.
  • Develop sales teams in terms of management, leadership, customer knowledge, and communication.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customer contacts, gaining knowledge of their business needs and ensuring execution of business plans, communicating, and providing clear value proposition.
  • Build upon the network of customers by generating leads and speaking with potential new customers about our offerings.
  • Establish and maintain an effective system to ensure timely and accurate handling of new, lost, and target customers.
  • Identify, execute, and drive key business initiatives and improvement opportunities both internally and externally
  • Lead sales teams in the creation, communication, and delivery of annual customer and "go to market" plans.
  • Recruit and train committed and qualified personnel to adequately support a stable and successful sales team.
  • Provide leadership, development, and opportunities for internal candidates for career growth.
  • Oversee the preparation and execution of sales presentations to customers for improving upon retention and maximizing penetration.
  • Oversee the preparation, execution, and monitoring of customer agreements for compliance and adherence to company plans and values.
  • Stay current with changing market trends and continually seek out opportunities for growing profitable business.
  • Establish and maintain involvement in industry associations for insights and opportunities for the brand.
  • Maintain professional relationships with coworkers, customers, and parent company.
  • Review and recommend changes to established compensation, training, and sales incentive programs that enable sales staff to achieve their potential and support company sales objectives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

  • Relevant Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Expertise in leading broad-line, Private Label sales.
  • Minimum 4 years' experience at a consumer-packaged goods business with national distribution.
  • Five or more years of experience with dairy products preferred.
  • Track record of developing and executing strategies to grow Private Label business in net and margin growth through market intelligence, consumer insights and innovation.

Language Skills

English is required as the written and spoken language.

Equipment

Personal protective equipment including, but not limited to hearing protection, bump caps, hair and beard nets, gloves, and safety glasses must be used in the performance of duties when appropriate. Proper lifting techniques must be employed at all times.
