Job Type Full-timeDescription1. Develop Quality and Safety Control Plan for Okeechobee Waterways Contract. Submit preliminary draft for Corps of Engineer's approval. Revise and resubmit as appropriate.2. Implement an effective Quality and Safety Control Plan. Identify acceptable productivity, safety and quality levels for levee mowing, finish mowing, custodial services, and security patrol.3. Maintain Quality and Safety Control Plan. Ensure all locations are reviewed as scheduled. Devise and utilize reporting system that ensures follow through and sets forth corrective and preventative action plans.4. Perform inspections of all work activities (including subcontractors) to ensure full conformance to contract requirements, applicable safety and occupational health requirements, and /or including COR's directives.5. Lead and motivate all employees to execute outstanding performance and adhere to safety protocol.6. Develop and implement an Accident Prevention Plan to the specification of the Corps of Engineer's safety manual.7. Ensure actions and words communicate superior internal and external customer service.8. Provide assistance with other general department activities.9. Provide additional related functions as needed.OTHER DUTIES MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:1. Perform or assist with any duties or operations, as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirements.3. Maintain safe work area and comply with safety procedures and equipment operating rules, keeping work area in a clean and orderly condition.4. Participate in any variety of meetings and task force groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, and policies. RequirementsKNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:1. Bachelor's degree in business or related field. Relevant work experience may be substituted on a year for year basis in lieu of degree.2. 3+ years experience in Quality Control required3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.4. Creative problem-solving skills5. Demonstrated ability to work accurately with details6. Excellent oral and written communication skills7. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain rapport with staff and outside agency representatives8. Must have a valid Florida driver's license and valid insurance for travel to outlying locations and the ability to be insured under the company's vehicle insurance policy.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:1. Regular exposure to extreme weather conditions2. Regular travel3. Regular getting in and out of vehicle4. Regular pushing, pulling, bending, stretching, kneeling and stooping5. Occasional lifting and/or carrying up to 30 lbs.TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED:Computer and peripherals, standard software programs including word processing, spreadsheets, automobiles, standard office and safety equipment.
