NBCUniversal Advertising Products & Solutions (AP&S) is responsible for the product development and project management of NBCUniversal’s full advertising technology suite. From sales support to campaign execution, delivery, and billing, our division services both internal and external customers in support of NBCUniversal’s $7B+ annual advertising business. Together, we’re building the platform that powers the future of advertising at NBCU. The Program Management team within AP&S oversees strategic projects and programs to support business priorities for NBCU’s Advertising & Partnerships organization and manages organizational workflow standards and governance to ensure efficient product delivery and implementation. We are currently seeking a Director of Program Management to manage our Measurement & Optimization workstream, partnering closely with our Data Science, Business Intelligence, and Insights teams to achieve our business goals. This role requires collaboration with external vendors and partners, as well as internal stakeholders across Comcast, NBCU’s brands, Advertising & Partnerships, Operations & Technology, Corporate Strategy, and Content Distribution. An understanding of the digital and linear landscape is a must, including social platforms, ad serving platforms, and data-enabled media buying. Duties and Responsibilities: Reporting to the VP, Program Management, the person in this role will: Partner with key internal teams (Strategy, Insights & Measurement, Planning, Finance, etc.) to identify product development needs and large-scale advertising initiatives in need of program management Support the Data Science & Business Intelligence teams in the coordination and facilitation of small to medium sized programs, assisting in scope definition and requirements gathering Develop detailed project plans, monitoring/tracking progress throughout the project life cycle through to completion Identify project risks and apply mitigation strategies to ensure successful project execution Lead any necessary coordination between internal resources and third-party vendors Oversee the successful transition from launch to ongoing operational support (, transition management back to the business) Build and manage stakeholder relationships (both internal and external), communicating consistent updates as needed (bi-weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly) on the active and requested initiatives Help build and maintain roadmaps, which for include dependencies from the AP&S team, vendors, and other engineering organizations in order to execute strategic projects and programs Identify opportunities to build and leverage best practices, processes, and relationships across the teams Oversee product launch communications, partnering with the project team and Product Marketing to communicate effectively to the business once an initiative is complete Manage and mentor project/program management staff of varying levels Qualifications
Basic qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field Minimum eight (8) years of experience working with ad servers and/or ad sales organizations, with a proven history of increasing responsibility and scope Extensive digital media experience (must be ready to hit the ground running!) Talent to motivate and influence stakeholders and team members to drive the project forward Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and deliver quality results Excellent oral and written communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Atlassian tools Excellent customer service skills Additional skill requirements: Experience working directly in digital media as it relates to display and video formats across devices and platforms Attention to detail while reviewing deliverables for completeness, quality, and compliance with established project requirements The ability to clearly and concisely articulate complex concepts for a variety of audiences Demonstrated ability to overcome obstacles and negotiate resolutions to complex problems Ability to organize meetings, including creating pertinent agendas, managing conversations, and summarizing the results into a set of decisions made and next steps Additional Information: Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
