Director, Product Management - Secure Service Edge

We are seeking a Director, Product Management for Secure Service Edge to deliver network security solutions that protect employee access to Capital One business and productivity apps, SaaS apps and internet destinations, with a consistent and simplified user experience, whether employees are working from campus, back-office, or remote locations. This role uses a risk-based approach and data-driven strategy to balance security, user experience and digital business transformation.

Team and Scope

As a Product Leader for Secure Service Edge, you will contribute within Capital One’s Product Management organization and help design, deliver and operate agile, secure, resilient and scalable foundational infrastructure for Capital One to thrive in the cloud. The role centers on building secure, convenient access to the network and applications while maintaining a strong security posture.

Responsibilities

Deliver network security solutions to protect employee access to Capital One business and productivity apps, SaaS apps and internet destinations; ensure a consistent and simplified user experience across campus, back-office, and remote locations; apply a risk-based approach and data-driven strategy to balance security and digital business transformation.

Qualification Summary

Basic Qualifications

  • At least 7 years of experience working in Product Management
  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, one of the following with an expectation to obtain the degree by the start date:
    • A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or related)
    • A Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or related) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration
  • At least 6 years of experience working in information technology
  • At least 5 years of experience in cyber security

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products
  • 3+ years of experience in cloud-based or on-prem network security products and services (Secure Service Edge SSE, CASB, SWG, NGFW, VPN, ZTNA)
  • One or more professional certifications in Cybersecurity (CISSP, CISM, CCSP, etc.)
  • Experience solutioning, deploying and managing network security infrastructure within enterprises

Salary ranges are listed by location for candidate visibility and may vary by location. Examples include:

  • Chicago, IL: $205,400 - $234,400
  • McLean, VA: $226,000 - $257,900
  • New York, NY: $246,500 - $281,300
  • Plano, TX: $205,400 - $234,400
  • Richmond, VA: $205,400 - $234,400
  • San Francisco, CA: $246,500 - $281,300
