Enterprise Director of Pharmacy Services

We're seeking an ambitious, experienced pharmacy leader to oversee and elevate specialty pharmacy services at NewYork-Presbyterian. In this role, you will be responsible for the business operations and clinical development in the pharmacy department. This leadership position is ideal for a forward-thinking professional passionate about high-quality patient care, operational efficiency, and team development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee business operations for specialty pharmacy services.
- Develop, implement, and continuously enhance specialty pharmacy operations that support patient safety, adherence, and optimal outcomes.
- Lead performance improvement and cost optimization initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards.
- Standardize and optimize policies, procedures, and workflows.
- Oversee retail pharmacy billing processes in outpatient specialty pharmacy where applicable.
- Ensure effective pharmacy integration and support within interdisciplinary care teams.
- Develop and maintain evidence-based medication use policies and guidelines, promoting safety, efficacy, and financial stewardship.
- Provide leadership and day-to-day supervision for clinical and operational specialty pharmacy staff.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and retain pharmacy staff.
- Manage staff performance, attendance, and development through regular feedback and evaluations.
- Ensure effective workload distribution, job training, and continuous improvement.
- Support the interpretation and implementation of hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- BS in Pharmacy with a relevant Masters or Doctoral degree (e.g., MS, MBA, MPH, or PharmD)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Specialty Pharmacy
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Retail Pharmacy
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Masters degree in a healthcare-related field
- Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Residency program
- Minimum 3 years experience in a leadership role (Director, Assistant Director, or Pharmacy Management position)

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

Salary Range: $191,000-$255,000/Annual
