We are currently seeking a Director, Pharmacology to join our diverse and dynamic team. As a Director, you will be the subject matter expert (SME) in Nonclinical Efficacy and Safety Pharmacology, providing advice to sponsors to expedite their drug development pipeline and to generate potential business for other functions within ICON.
What You Will Be Doing:
Subject matter expert (SME) in Nonclinical Efficacy and Safety Pharmacology
Identification and management of preclinical CROs
Preclinical implementation for both small molecules and biopharmaceuticals
Scientific data review, GAP analysis and problem solving
Preparation of nonclinical sections for INDs/CTAs/NDAs/BLAs/MAAs
Your Profile:
Minimum of an honours degree in a relevant field such as pharmacology, toxicology or biological sciences, and at least 10 years relevant experience in nonclinical drug development.
Extensive experience in nonclinical research models of disease and/or safety pharmacology, with a strong understanding of regulatory and compliance standards.
Expertise in data analysis, interpretation and reporting, with the ability to understand clinical impact of nonclinical findings.
Good project leadership skills and adaptability, with excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
Self‑motivated, well organized and able to work both independently and in cross‑functional teams
