position overview The Director of Partnerships & Growth is a hybrid role designed to advance the mission of the 4As Foundation by strengthening its development, marketing, and strategic initiatives. The role requires limited travel within the tri-state area and occasionally outside New York (1-3x/year). This position plays a critical role in supporting grant writing, partner stewardship, marketing communications, and strategic planning. The Director will collaborate closely with the VP, Partnerships & Growth, SVP of the Learning Institute and EVP of the 4As, to ensure that the Foundation's initiatives are well-positioned for fundraising support, clearly communicated to stakeholders, and strategically aligned with long-term organizational goals. In addition, the Director will provide strategic support for the Learning Institute, ensuring that its programs are effectively positioned, marketed, and aligned with delivering 4As member value. They bring experience in grant support, marketing/communications, and nonprofit operations, with the ability to translate complex ideas into compelling narratives for funders, partners, and the public Skills and Experience: Demonstrated experience with grant writing and grant support, including research, proposal development, and reporting Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills for both funder communications and marketing/branding purposes Familiarity with nonprofit fundraising strategies and development operations (501(c)(3) environment preferred) Marketing and communications experience, including content development, campaign support, and digital/social platforms Strong project management and organizational skills with ability to balance multiple priorities Strategic thinker with ability to contribute to planning, evaluation, and program positioning Proficiency with CRM and tracking tools (Salesforce preferred) position responsibilities Core responsibilities and tasks include: Grant & Development Support: Research prospective grant and funding opportunities Draft and edit proposals, letters of inquiry, and reports in partnership with the VP Maintain grant tracking, deadlines, and reporting in CRM and shared systems Develop and refine cases for support and impact narratives using program data Marketing & Communications: Support the development of marketing and communication strategies that elevate the Foundation's programs and talent initiatives Draft partner-facing content including presentations, one-pagers, social media copy, newsletters, and digital assets Ensure consistent messaging that reflects the Foundation's mission, impact, and brand voice Collaborate with Program Directors to develop marketing and positioning strategies for the Learning Institute, ensuring it is effectively communicated to partners, funders, and participants. Strategy & Operations: Partner with VP and Program Directors on strategic planning initiatives, including annual work plans and cross-program alignment Track and analyze data from programs and partnerships to inform reports, proposals, and strategic decisions Prepare materials and insights for Board updates and leadership presentations Support event communications and funder engagement strategies as needed Contribute to the strategic growth of the Learning Institute by integrating development, marketing, and partnership insights into its planning and long-term sustainability.
