We are a growing multi-unit retail company headquartered on the West Coast. We have more than 30 units across our two flagship brands. We are looking to add a Director of Operations reporting directly to our President.
We are heavily driven by the guest experience, so someone with a strong background in hospitality is key. You must be able to visit and work out of our sites in Northern CA, Oregon, and WA. You should be able to work/visit the sites for 2-3 weeks/month. This is a heavy operations position.
Must have experience with Car Wash or Oil Change locations and you must be located in CA or OR.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Director, Operations Multiunit Retail (Car Wash) to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in the growth and development of our multi-unit car wash operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of multiple car wash locations, ensuring optimal productivity and profitability. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, a keen eye for operational efficiency, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of multiple car wash locations to ensure efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources. Develop and implement business strategies, plans, and procedures that align with the company's overall strategy. Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth, and evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics. Establish policies that promote a customer-centric culture and drive overall customer satisfaction. Manage relationships with partners, vendors, and regulatory authorities. Lead and motivate teams to surpass operational and financial goals. Direct and manage staff, fostering a positive environment that encourages teamwork and innovation. Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company. Ensure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations. Participate in expansion activities (investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances, etc.) Implement new technologies and automation processes to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Director of Operations, Operations Manager, or similar leadership role, preferably in the car wash or related industry. A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing multi-unit operations. Strong understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, Marketing, etc. Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development. Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics. Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities. Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills. Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving. BSc/BA in Business Administration or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus. Proven experience with implementing technological solutions and automation to increase operational efficiency. Strong customer service orientation with a drive to deliver exceptional customer experiences. Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to travel as required.
