POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Operations, Cardiac Imaging provides strategic and operational leadership for all cardiac imaging services within the Health First Medical Group (HFMG) ambulatory and outpatient settings. The Director of Operations, Cardiac Imaging oversees and ensures the delivery of timely, high-quality, cost-effective cardiovascular diagnostic services including echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, cardiac Computed Tomography (CT), cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), vascular imaging, and stress testing.
Reporting to the, Vice President of Cardiovascular Services, The Director of Operations, Cardiac Imaging partners closely with Cardiology and Radiology leadership, Integrated Delivery Network (IDN) stakeholders, and hospital division operations to optimize workflows, improve patient access, support regulatory compliance, and lead initiatives that promote quality outcomes, growth, and exceptional patient experience.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITES
1. Oversees daily operations for all outpatient HFMG cardiac imaging sites, ensuring optimal patient scheduling, diagnostic resource allocation, and throughput to ensure the delivery of safe and effective patient care.
2. Leads operational readiness for expansion, renovations, equipment upgrades, and service launches in coordination with Radiology and Facilities.
3. Tracks and monitors productivity, equipment utilization, and payer reimbursement trends to ensure cost-effective service delivery, while presenting opportunities for improvement where applicable.
4. Ensures compliance with accreditation standards (e.g., ICAEL, ICANL, ACR), The Joint Commission (TJC), and Health First quality benchmarks.
5. Partners with licensed practitioners and clinical quality teams to implement best practices and documentation workflows to cultivate an environment of high-quality and safety for patients.
6. Collaborates with scheduling, front office, and patient access teams to drive enhancement of the patient experience across all touchpoints.
7. Develops and implements workflows to ensure same-day add-ons, reduced patient waiting times, and improved communication with referring licensed practitioners.
8. Ensures timely delivery and interpretation of diagnostic studies by coordinating open and continuous communication lines with licensed practitioners and clinical teams.

Work Experience
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business or Healthcare Administration, or in relevant field.
· Work Experience: Three (3) years’ progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations.

· Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
o Demonstrated expertise in managing multi-site or multi-modality diagnostic services.
o Strong skills in operational leadership, financial management, project execution, and regulatory compliance.
o Proficiency in quality improvement and data-driven decision-making.
o Excellent written/verbal communication, team-building, and organizational skills.
o High emotional intelligence and ability to lead through change.
PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS
· Education: Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration (MHA, MBA), or related field.
· Work Experience:
o Prior leadership experience in imaging, cardiology or diagnostic service operations.
o Experience working in Epic Radiant, Epic Cupid, PACS or other imaging technology systems.
· Licensure: Allied Health Professional Licensure (e.g., RDCS, RVT, RT, RCIS).
· Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
o LEAN, Six Sigma, or process improvement certification.
o Working knowledge of CMS guidelines and accrediting agency standards (e.g., ACR, ICAEL, IAC).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
· Majority of time involves sitting or standing; occasional walking, bending, and stooping.
· Long periods of computer time or at workstation.
· Light work that may include lifting or moving objects up to 20 pounds with or without assistance.
· May be exposed to inside environments with varied temperatures, air quality, lighting and/or low to moderate noise.
· Communicating with others to exchange information.
· Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks.
· Workspace may vary from open to confined.
· May require travel to various facilities within and beyond county perimeter; may require use of personal vehicle.
