Position Summary
Reporting to the Executive Director of Enrollment, the Director of Undergraduate Recruitment provides strategic leadership and oversight for the undergraduate admissions recruitment team. This role is instrumental in driving undergraduate enrollment initiatives, expanding the university’s visibility among high school and community college populations, and ensuring effective territory management by the recruitment team. The Director collaborates closely with University Marketing and Communications to design and implement targeted print and digital media campaigns. Additionally, the position works with internal and external stakeholders to set and achieve enrollment goals in alignment with the university’s strategic and enrollment management plans.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide leadership, supervision, and professional development to the undergraduate recruitment team.
Manage daily operations related to domestic undergraduate recruitment with an emphasis on professionalism and exceptional customer service.
Oversee all prospective student interactions, including communication, travel, and recruitment events.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including vendors, community partners, and high school and college personnel.
Assist in the planning and management of the recruitment budget.
Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures related to undergraduate enrollment.
Compile, analyze, and report weekly, monthly, and annual recruitment and enrollment data; prepare internal and external reports as requested by senior leadership.
Support and oversee student search programs for both first-year and transfer populations.
Monitor territory activity and ensure timely updates on applicant trends and processing reports.
Engage with the Texas Wesleyan community to build awareness and accessibility among prospective students.
Recruit, hire, train, and supervise recruitment staff.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Undergraduate Admissions Office
Education, Certifications and/or Licenses Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or related fields. Experience 3-5 years of experience in higher education admissions
Demonstrated experience supervising professional staff
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree
Experience with Slate CRM or similar enrollment management systems
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Proven ability to plan and implement recruitment programs, coordinate teams, and engage external stakeholders.
Proficiency in integrated administrative systems and contemporary software applications.
Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse populations and work both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to maintain confidentiality in compliance with FERPA regulations.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
