We are seeking a Director of Technologyto lead the technology operations, infrastructure, software development, and application development, as well as digital initiatives, for a small, data-focused organization. This is a senior leadership position combining IT oversight with hands-on cloud development and solution architecture. The successful candidate will also be an integral partner in helping the organization through technological transformation.
Worksite location: Hybrid, onsite 1x per week in Edina, MN
Salary: $150 – 175k salary target, bonus up to 10%

Role & Responsibilities:
Develop IT priorities aligned with organizational goals and technology transformation objectives.
Establish IT policies, procedures, and best practices tailored to the organization's size.
Manage IT budget and vendor relationships with a focus on cost-effectiveness.
Provide regular reporting to the Board and executive leadership, performance, security, and overall technology initiatives.
Oversee system performance, security, and reliability across all technology platforms.
Implement backup and disaster recovery processes to support business continuity procedures.
Create and maintain documentation and ensure alignment on processes and practices.
Implement change control practices and policies to minimize operational disruption and ensure regular system maintenance.
Lead technology projects from planning through implementation.
Coordinate with department heads and end users on technology requirements.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
Responsible for the management of the Technology team.
Provide technical mentoring and professional development guidance.
Offer insights into cloud solutions architecture (Azure) and pinpoint/remediate any issues that arise, as needed.
Required Skills & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
8+ years of progressive IT experience, preferably inclusive of software development, with 3+ years in leadership roles
Experience in small organizations (i.e. 25-50 employees)
Proven track record of successful technology implementations and upgrades
Experience with budget management and vendor negotiations
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure preferred), including architectural best practices for resiliency, scalability, and cost optimization.
Experience in the development of business applications and database management
Significant experience managing technical teams and with project management
Understanding of cybersecurity best practices
Experience managing small teams and external service providers
Customer service orientation with a focus on user satisfaction
