Director Of Surgical Services

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director Of Surgical Services to lead our perioperative team at a leading healthcare facility in San Jose, CA. This role is responsible for overseeing the surgical services department, ensuring high-quality patient care, and driving operational excellence.

As the Director Of Surgical Services, you will:

• Provide 24/7 leadership for the surgical services department, including OR, PreOp, PACU, PAT, Endo, and SPD.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance patient care, operational efficiency, and team engagement.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, hospital policies, and safety protocols.
• Manage the department's financial performance, including budgeting and capital equipment requests.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee 12+ ORs, 2 endo suites, and 154 FTEs, handling 7,000+ cases annually.
• Drive growth in complex service lines, including spine, ortho, and neuro.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians and staff.
• Lead recruitment, development, and retention efforts for the surgical services team.
• Monitor and improve key performance metrics to ensure operational excellence.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required. Master's Degree in Nursing, Business Administration, or Healthcare Administration preferred.
• Licensure: Current RN license in California or eligibility to obtain.
• Certifications: CNOR (Certified Nursing Operating Room) and CSSM (Certified Surgical Services Manager) preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 5+ years of leadership experience in a high-volume, complex surgical services environment.
