PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
The Director of Supply Chain is responsible for the end-to-end Supply Chain at SCT, including the ability to measure and drive improvement in overall Demand Forecast Accuracy, tracking of OTIF, and maintaining optimum inventory balances of paperboard and finished goods across all categories. Additionally, the Director of Supply Chain is responsible and accountable to build a robust Integrated Business Planning process and cadence for the entire Chattanooga end to end supply chain .
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITY:
Lead and drive the monthly enterprise IBP process and oversee the IBP meetings.
Support the finetuning of IBP standards, including cadence of IBP cycles, roles, and responsibilities of key organizational players, as well as the necessary systems and reports needed to support the process. Run working sessions with cross functional Sales, Operational, and Distribution teams to support IBP preparation and run through as many cycles as required.
Lead analytics process by tying together data to ensure completeness and accuracy of inputs into the IBP process.
Pressure test inputs, assumptions, and hypothesis, provided for accurate and reliable data for demand planning and the IBP meetings.
Provide options and recommendations in IBP meetings based on balancing the needs of stakeholders.
Ability to disseminate information and decisions from IBP meetings to ensure that it is properly reflected in the plans.
Ensure successful completion of IBP meetings and ensure that tight linkages exist between critical IBP decisions.
Help identify and track KPIs to measure business performance as it relates to IBP and address any performance gaps.
Manage communication with teams as it relates to S&OE process and meetings.
Navigate bottlenecks, manage risks and opportunities, while maximizing performance. Manage allocations with sales based on capacity constraints on shared resources, shifts in demand, floor stock agreements and guidelines set by key stake holders.
Consolidate risks and opportunities tied to production & space constraints and propose alternative scenarios to mitigate risks, including back-up solutions.
Ensure adherence to planning best practices for IBP process. Define and create alternative scenarios in case of demand & supply imbalance and drive decision process.
Standardize and align planning processes/financial mechanisms to support IBP process and drive planning above 1 year horizon.
Partner with paperboard purchasing and procurement towards supplier relationship excellence.
Lead and support team engagement in deployment of MRP2 system at SCT.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Minimum 15+ experience in Supply Chain, Finance, or Transversal Project Management. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain/Logistics, Economics, or Business. Master’s degree preferred. Successful leadership experience with the ability to influence leadership by providing IBP Planning thought leadership. Experience in end-to-end Supply Chain transformation leadership including organizational transformation. Highly collaborative relationship building skills with various internal and external stakeholders. Must demonstrate a high sense of urgency to influence changes and drive delivery. Team builder who can align individuals’ competencies to key initiatives and drive successful outcomes. Previous experience and overall knowledge of the IBP process. Ability to work and influence people at all levels in an organization and to distill information with solid credibility and communication. Possesses an action-oriented management style. Plans and implements projects and makes decisions with a sense of urgency and strategic first mindset. Leader, as well as, a team player with ability to excel in an agile, collaborative, ambiguous environment. Ability to critically think through and create strategies based on complex data analysis. Possesses an action-oriented leadership style, with the ability to plan and implement projects and make decisions with a sense of urgency, often juggling multiple tasks at once.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must have the ability to read and understand complex documents, letters, etc. and write legibly in English. Must be able to understand and speak clearly and communicate in English.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide both fractions and decimals, solve equations, read measurements. Use formulas to calculate and analyze data.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, regularly required to walk, stand, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, reach with arms and hands. Ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds. A person must be able to perform these functions for a minimum of 8 hours straight (with any applicable breaks during day) on a regular basis.
