Summary of the main function/purpose of the position: This individual is responsible for creating, maintaining, and continually improving service delivery to resort guests and owners. Must maintain the highest level of professionalism and service from event conception to the end. Key Principal duties/responsibilities (5-8): Planning and follow-through on all special events and weddings. Develop, document, train, and enforce policies and procedures as they relate to weddings and special events. Develop, communicate, direct, and maintain product and guest service standards. Organize and execute strategic and tactical human resource plans. Balance service satisfaction objectives with financial and business objectives. Create, implement, and monitor methods of cost control in coordination with the Director of Club Operations throughout the area of responsibility. Respond to guest and homeowner concerns as needed on a personal basis. Possess the ability to easily resolve conflict. Ability to interact and communicate with a wide variety of people (including Bridezillas). Must be proficient in budget creation, forecasting, and revenue generation techniques. Maintain accounting and audit skills to monitor department performance and take corrective action as needed. Assist with short and long-term Special Events Department planning. Assist in the development of the annual strategic plan. Familiar with resort operating systems, including the point of sale, credit card processing, front office operations, restaurant operations, and room rental procedures. Knowledge and implementation of Risk Management, MSDS, OSHA, and guest safety initiatives. Ensure resort and employee compliance. Apply legal and regulatory compliance in a daily practice. Ensure communication systems for weddings and special events are in place to promote owner, guest, and employee relations, including newsletters, closed-circuit television programming, flyers, eblasts, websites, etc.

V. Educational and/or equivalent in experience requirements:
Bachelor's degree/diploma in Hospitality or equivalent, with additional experience
Specialized or technical educational requirements:
Certification or licensing requirements:
Valid Florida Driver's License
VI. Specialized equipment or machines used in the course of the duties of the position.
Personal Computer, printer, calculator, and standard office equipment and machines as required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use their hands and is required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, sit, and walk. The employee may occasionally be required to reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
