Their work is essential, but often constrained by outdated tools. We fix that. Our cloud-based platform replaces legacy systems with simple, integrated software built specifically for small governments. We serve thousands of communities nationwide, streamlining operations, improving service delivery, and making day-to-day work more manageable. Were consolidating several acquired products into one platform and guiding our clients through this transition. Its complex, important work and we need a leader who can execute at a high level to help drive that transformation.
The Role: Were hiring a Director of Sales Operations & Contracts to take full ownership of our pricing, quoting, and commercial contract processes. This role is highly hands-on youll build the tools, manage the workflows, and execute the agreements that power our sales function. Youll work across teams to develop pricing models, manage all client agreements (new, renewal, and amended), and ensure that deals are structured clearly and closed efficiently. Youll collaborate directly with internal stakeholders and outside legal counsel to make contracts clean, timely, and aligned with business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Contract Management Serve as the lead for all client contracts including new agreements, renewals, and amendments Draft, manage, and execute contracts in partnership with external legal counsel Coordinate directly with clients on agreement redlines and negotiation Maintain clean, accurate documentation and contract records
Sales Operations Build and maintain quoting workflows, tools, and templates Manage pricing approvals and ensure consistency across all deal structures Maintain CRM data integrity, reporting accuracy, and deal tracking Support sales forecasting, booking reports, and pipeline analysis Track expansion opportunities and ensure accurate quoting for cross-sell/upsell motions
Pricing & Deal Structure Develop and refine pricing models across product lines and client types Create clear discounting guidelines and oversee exceptions Ensure pricing aligns with business goals, product strategy, and financial requirements Standardize quote creation and pricing documentation Own documentation and enablement for pricing, quoting, and contracting processes
Cross-Functional Execution Partner with Sales, Account Management, Product, and Finance to move deals forward Identify patterns in contract challenges, pricing friction, and sales cycle timing Deliver reporting packages and insight to support decision-making Collaborate with Enablement to train Sales/AMs on pricing, quoting tools, and contract workflows
Why This Role Matters: This is a key execution role that drives how we sell, structure, and close deals. Youll own the contract lifecycle, pricing tools, and operational workflows that support growth and youll do it alongside a leadership team focused on clarity, accountability, and results.
What Youll Bring: 7+ years in Sales Operations, Deal Desk, or Contract Management within a B2B software or SaaS company Proven track record of managing client contracts, pricing models, and quote operations - Strong experience coordinating with external legal counsel and client-side attorneys Advanced skills in Hubspot, Salesforce (or similar CRM), Excel/Sheets, and quoting tools Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and follow-through Experience building or optimizing sales infrastructure in a growth-focused environment Bonus: familiarity with government, utilities, or regulated industries
What Success Looks Like: Contract Accuracy & Timeliness 100% of client agreements (new, renewal, and amended) are delivered on time, with minimal redlines and zero compliance errors. Pricing Consistency & Margin Protection All deals follow established pricing guidelines, with exceptions tracked, approved, and justified to protect revenue goals. Workflow Efficiency Quoting and contracting processes are streamlined to reduce sales cycle time and eliminate bottlenecks, with measurable improvement in deal turnaround. Cross-Functional Alignment Sales, Account Management, Product, Finance, and Legal consistently report smooth collaboration and clear communication throughout deal execution. Data Integrity & Insight CRM and reporting systems maintain >98% data accuracy, enabling reliable forecasts and actionable insights for leadership decisions.
