Swoon is actively hiring a Director of Social Media & Communications to join the team!
What will your day-to-day will look like?
Own the megaphone. Build and execute a multi-channel communication strategy that elevates our brand and moves the needle on census growth.
Run the socials like a pro. Command Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube/TikTok—plan calendars, create and schedule posts, spark conversations, and keep everything on-brand and on-time.
Be our newsroom. Lead PR + corporate comms: craft press releases, pitch media, nurture community relationships, and steer crisis comms with clarity and calm.
Create with care. Produce standout blogs, newsletters, videos, and collateral that are HIPAA-compliant and aligned to healthcare regs and our brand standards.
Guard the reputation. Monitor reviews (Google, Facebook, Caring.com) and partner with facilities/compliance to respond thoughtfully—and proactively build our online cred.
Let the data drive. Track KPIs, analyze what’s working, and deliver crisp, actionable reports to boost reach, engagement, and visibility.
Uplift the field. Train staff on social best practices, collaborate across marketing/operations/admissions/clinical, and standardize toolkits and governance (Hootsuite/Sprout; Canva/Adobe a plus).
What’s Required
Degrees - BA/BS in Comms/Marketing/PR/Journalism (Master’s = bonus points) + 5+ years running comms/social—healthcare or post-acute a big plus.
Compliance-savvy storyteller: You speak HIPAA fluently, get healthcare sensitivities, and can handle crisis comms without breaking a sweat.
Tools & craft wizard: Hootsuite/Sprout for orchestration, Canva/Adobe for polish, and writing that’s clear, compelling, and on-brand.
Operator energy: Proven at growing brand presence, juggling multiple priorities, and driving projects end-to-end—independently and collaboratively.
Field-friendly: Comfortable in a hybrid/remote setup, travel ~20% for shoots & events, and resilient with the occasional high-pressure moment.
