Sparks Group is seeking a driven Director of Sales with a strong background in the insulation industry or a related field. Our client is seeking an experienced leader to head sales strategy, manage a team, and expand their market share to drive revenue growth. This is a critical role for someone with a proven track record of success and a passion for building high-performing teams. This position is an On-Site role, remote requirements will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities: Lead all sales operations, including managing regional teams, account management, and business development. Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with the company's growth goals. Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify and capitalize on new opportunities. Set performance metrics for the sales team and monitor progress to ensure goals are met. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, suppliers, and industry partners. Work with executive leadership, marketing, and operations to support company-wide initiatives. Coach and mentor the sales team to foster their professional growth. Oversee contract negotiations, pricing strategy, and profitability analysis. Stay informed on industry developments, products, and regulations. This role requires mandatory attendance at two Saturday physical inventory counts per year (late June and late December). Attendance is also required at our annual offsite Sales Meeting, which is held on a Saturday.
Qualifications: 10–15 years of progressive sales experience , with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position . A strong background in the insulation industry or a closely related building materials sector is required. Proven ability to drive revenue growth and build successful sales teams. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred). Ability to travel as needed.
Essential Skills: Proficiency with CRM systems and sales analytics. Strong financial acumen. Experience with both direct sales and distribution channels. Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills. A high degree of professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail.
