Job Description: Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Sales Strategy & Business Development: Develop and execute strategic sales plans that align with Maya Hotels' overall goals and objectives. Conduct outside sales calls and telemarketing to drive hotel revenue. Identify, prospect, and secure new business while managing the entire sales process from lead generation to contract negotiations and closure. Achieve budgeted revenue and personal/team sales goals while maximizing profitability. Participate in preparing the annual departmental budget, marketing plan, and business strategy. Implement sales initiatives to increase occupancy, boost average rates, and grow food, beverage, and banquet sales. Produce monthly reports and sales forecasts, analyzing trends and adjusting strategies to enhance revenue performance. Client Relationship Management & Customer Satisfaction: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, meeting planners, and stakeholders. Provide personalized service, understanding client needs to exceed expectations. Ensure all guests and clients have exceptional experience, addressing concerns promptly and professionally. Revenue Optimization & Market Analysis: Develop pricing strategies to maximize revenue from rooms, meeting spaces, and events. Monitor industry trends, local competition, and market conditions to identify new business opportunities. Implement promotional strategies to increase bookings and revenue. Event Promotion & Coordination: Work closely with the banquet and catering teams to ensure seamless event execution, including menu planning, meeting space arrangements, and special requests. Develop and execute marketing initiatives to enhance event bookings. Team Development & Leadership: Lead, mentor, and coach the sales team, setting performance and development goals. Educate and train sales staff in new accounts, client retention, and sales strategies. Collaborate with department managers to ensure proper staffing based on guest volume. Actively participate in local community engagement to enhance brand presence. Responsible Business Practices: Identify and address operational challenges affecting sales performance. Uphold Maya Hotels' policies, procedures, and Code of Ethics. Maintain professional business attire and appearance, in line with company grooming standards. Promote a safe working environment, adhering to safety protocols and emergency procedures. Support sustainability initiatives, including recycling efforts and reducing the hotel's carbon footprint. Education, Skills and Abilities: Experience: 2 -5 years of experience in sales support, retail, hospitality, or administrative role is preferred. Prior experience with Marriott, Hilton and/or IHG brand may be preferred, but not required. Leadership: Experience with training, inspiration, and motivating a team. Sales Skills: Excellent negotiation skills and ability to develop sales strategies, manage a pipeline, and close deals. Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to speak professionally, confidently, and persuasively. Tech-Savvy: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Products, and CRMs. Detail-Oriented & Organized: Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and maintain accurate records. Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Self-Motivated & Driven: Proactive, self-motivated, negotiation and problem-solving abilities. Physical Requirements: Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time. Frequent use of hands for typing, writing, and handling office equipment. Occasionally lifting items up to 20lbs.
