Director of Sales - Wood Coatings
Qualified applicants should have experience in selling wood finishes and stains directly to end users, such as but not limited to cabinet shops, furniture manufacturers, & fixture manufacturers. Applicant should have a strong knowledge background in lacquers & conversion varnishes.
This position will be charged with growing the sales volume of lacquers, conversion varnishes, stains, and specialty coatings for wood. The qualified applicant will be expected to work with our existing sales team and individually target prospects for direct selling. They are expected to be able to specify, sell, and provide technical expertise to our employees, customers, specifiers, and suppliers. The person for this position must be a team player and be able to interact with the Regional Sales Managers to help them grow their sales markets. This position will report to the Vice President of Sales.
Additional training will be provided by the manufacturers of the products that Spectrum Paint distributes.
In addition, this position will manage a team of Business Development Managers for Specialty Wood Coatings.
Company equipment: company vehicle, cell phone, and laptop.
Qualifications
Must be a Team player who will be able to shift from training employees, selling customers and working with sales management.
Must be a Self-Starter with strong motivation for Sales
Experience with management of sales teams and business development
Highly organized and capable of prioritizing tasks
Excellent Verbal/Written Communication Skills
Excellent Customer Service Skills
Strong Desire for Meeting and Exceeding Sales Goals
Territory Management Experience
Strong Negotiation and Closing Skills
Experience managing a team is preferred
Ability to excel at Product Knowledge, Presentation Skills, and Building Client Relationships
