The ideal candidate is a dynamic self-starter capable of managing a growing territory and making an immediate impact by engaging LEAs to adopt Alma SIS & Technology Solutions. Knowledge of the SIS and Public Education market—either through experience selling to technologists or managing a district SIS—is highly preferred. A deep network of district educators, administrators, technologists, regional influencers, and County Offices of Education will facilitate a quick start and long-term success.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a territory plan to increase Alma’s presence and reputation.
Generate leads via calls, emails, and networking.
Coordinate sales efforts with Marketing, Product, and Customer Engagement teams.
Present, promote, and sell Alma products/services.
Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, prospects, and influencers.
Conduct cost-benefit and needs analyses for potential customers.
Track activities and communications in SalesForce.
Update leadership on customer needs, competitive activities, and new products/services.
Assist prospects with change management in their districts.
Stay informed on industry trends and best practices.
Represent Alma at trade shows, panels, and networking events.
Maintain a growth mindset through coaching, practice, and collaboration.
Achieve or surpass sales growth targets.
Collaborate with Customer Engagement to promote customer stories and referrals.
Qualifications:
3-5 years proven sales experience in software to K-12 district administrators.
Experience with SIS or educational technology preferred.
Highly motivated with a strong sales record.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Valid U.S. driver’s license; willingness to travel 50%.
Ability to tailor presentations to diverse audiences.
Relationship management skills and openness to feedback.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Experience developing new business and growth plans.
Enthusiasm for SIS, enterprise software, and data-driven decision-making.
Skilled in stakeholder value presentation from Superintendent to para-professionals.
Knowledge of local, state, federal funding sources.
Familiarity with EdTech trends and their impact on K-12 education.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, able to prioritize and multitask.
Ability to generate leads independently.
Thrives under deadlines.
