Summary
The Director of Sales, Infrared Optics will help drive sales for Vital Materials, Infrared, Optics and Lasers business unit. Product portfolio is focused on commercial infrared systems with a specific emphasis on infrared optics for
automotive camera systems (ADAS/AEB and AV). By leveraging Vital's vertical integration from raw materials to complete systems, global presence, and world-class engineering resources, the director of sales, infrared optics will help Vital establish and grow market share to become the leading supplier of infrared optics to the automotive industry.
Job Responsibility
Begin to establish Vital as THE supplier of choice for infrared optics for automotive applications!
Increase customer engagements, opportunities, and sales
Keep abreast of developments in the automotive marketplace and regulatory requirements, keep executive management up to date on developments
Help establish business plans for growth and lead their sales implementation
Engage with our potential customers and sell in a consultative manner
Responsible for the generation of targeted, competitive, professional proposals and or quotation documents
As opportunities mature, close, and win continuing and future business
Develop volume OEM/ODM sales in the automotive market
Maintain a regular presence by visiting existing and prospective customers and building increasing rapport
Convert business needs into technical specifications for global engineers to understand
Communicate effectively with all stakeholders
Collaboratively develop and achieve metrics for success
Ensure customer satisfaction
Skills and Experience 10+ years' experience in commercial infrared systems sales
Automotive Experience Required
Experienced with, and passionate about, effective CRM use.
Education and Experience B.S. in Engineering or Business
Position Location
Remote (USA)
Travel
Regular domestic and occasional international travel is required.
Physical requirements Will sit, stand or walk short distances for up to 8-12 hours per day.
Will climb stairs on an occasional basis.
Will lift up to 15 pounds on an occasional basis, according to work requirements.
Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects.
Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.
Ability to wear personal protective equipment as required.
Must be able to fly both domestically and internationally.
