About the Role:
The Director of Sales and Program Management will lead Milton Manufacturing’s sales strategy, overseeing a team responsible for inside sales, account management, and project delivery. This hands-on leadership role will focus on driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and ensuring customer satisfaction through close collaboration with operations and engineering teams.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies aligned with company goals for revenue growth, market expansion, and margin improvement.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the metal fabrication and manufacturing industries.
- Build, mentor, and scale a team of Program Managers to deliver exceptional customer and project outcomes.
- Implement and manage sales processes, tools, and performance metrics to ensure accountability and transparency.
- Oversee the entire customer lifecycle — from initial prospecting to post-project support.
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, and Finance to ensure seamless project delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and key performance indicators to drive results.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, competitors, and customer needs to refine strategy and maintain a competitive edge.
- Foster a culture of high performance, teamwork, accountability, and customer focus.
What You Bring:
- 8–10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, ideally within manufacturing or industrial sectors.
- Proven success in building and scaling sales programs from inception through maturity.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing sales or program management teams.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities, with comfort managing multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience working with Department of Defense (DoD) or government contracts.
- Background in custom manufacturing, machining, or metal fabrication.
- Prior experience scaling a sales or program management function.
