Director of Revenue – Healthcare Services Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Revenue to lead and optimize our healthcare revenue cycle operations. This role is ideal for a strategic leader with deep expertise in medical billing, reimbursement, and regulatory compliance, particularly within private healthcare services.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Business Administration or a related field. 5–7 years of progressive experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations. Minimum of 2 years in a management role within a healthcare setting. Proven experience managing private medical billing services. In-depth knowledge of federal and state regulations, including Medicare, Medi-Cal, and other government payer requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other billing/reporting systems. Strong leadership and supervisory capabilities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to think critically and manage complex organizational and personnel issues. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Team Development:
Provide direct supervision and mentorship to the Business Office medical billing team. Foster a culture of professionalism, accuracy, and compassionate patient communication. Train and allocate tasks, resolve team challenges, and promote continuous improvement. Revenue Cycle Management:
Oversee billing operations for ground, air, and critical care ambulance services. Manage full-cycle revenue processes including financial intake, insurance verification, authorizations, coding, billing, claims processing, and collections. Ensure compliance with all payer contracts and regulatory requirements. Operational Oversight:
Develop and implement efficient billing and reimbursement processes. Monitor productivity metrics and recommend performance improvements. Analyze trends and prepare actionable reports for executive leadership. Ensure timely communication of regulatory changes to the CEO and relevant stakeholders. Strategic & Financial Impact:
Translate data into strategic insights to support decision-making. Evaluate the financial impact of regulatory updates and recommend corrective actions.
