Key Responsibilities:

Direct, organize, and evaluate rehabilitation services to align with facility goals and regulatory standards.

Stay current with federal and state regulations and professional standards; recommend and implement necessary policy updates.

Collaborate with residents and their families to design personalized, effective rehabilitation plans.

Manage daily staffing and resource allocation in coordination with therapy staff and facility administration.

Build and maintain strong relationships with medical professionals, external healthcare partners, and the community.

Identify and resolve departmental challenges, reporting updates and solutions to the Administrator.

Ensure compliance with rehabilitation standards during inspections and audits.

Oversee thorough documentation of rehabilitation progress, ensuring accuracy and detail.

Lead multidisciplinary team meetings to enhance program effectiveness and patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation or related field (minimum requirement).

Active, unrestricted Rehabilitation Therapist License in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or Speech Therapy.

Minimum of 3 years experience in rehabilitative nursing and at least 1 year in a supervisory role within healthcare settings such as hospitals or nursing care facilities.

Strong knowledge of RUGS and Case Mix Index (CMI).
