Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) to lead our in-house therapy department. The ideal candidate will be a licensed PT, OT, COTA, PTA, or SLP with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care in a subacute rehab setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of the rehabilitation department (PT, OT, and SLP disciplines)
Manage and mentor therapy staff, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
Develop and implement individualized therapy programs in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
Monitor patient outcomes and drive clinical excellence
Ensure accurate documentation and billing practices
Participate in case management, care planning, and facility meetings
Foster a positive team environment that supports professional development and resident-centered care
Qualifications:
Must be a licensed PT, OT, COTA, PTA, or SLP in the state of Florida
Previous management or leadership experience in a skilled nursing or subacute rehab setting preferred
Strong understanding of Medicare/Medicaid and insurance billing guidelines
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to lead a team with integrity, accountability, and clinical expertise
