Pinnacle Multicare Nursing and Rehabilitation Center - Director of Recreation Job Description: The Director of Recreation does the planning, organizing, developing and directing the overall operation of the Activities Department. This is done in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Administrator. It will assure that an ongoing program of activities is designed to meet, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interests and the physical, mental and psychosocial well-being of each resident.
Director of Recreation Job Responsibilities: Plan and oversee recreational events and programs.
Create and lead activities like arts and crafts, music, dance, and sports to develop our resident’s social skills and promote active healthy lifestyles.
Design activities programs and training.
Manage assistants and other staff.
Complete the activities department’s MDS sections in a timely fashion.
Create, monitor, and revise resident care plans.
Director of Recreation Qualifications: Bachelors degree and CTRS required
Previous experience in Recreational Planning and Development in a health care setting preferred
A genuine interest in working closely with the geriatric population and their families
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and planning skills, as well as the ability to lead and manage others
