The Director of Quality, Risk & Compliance plays a critical leadership role in ensuring organizational excellence by developing, implementing, and overseeing frameworks that promote quality assurance, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and industry standards.
The role holder collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify, assess, and manage risks while proactively addressing compliance gaps and ensuring adherence to applicable laws and ethical standards.
Additionally, they provide strategic guidance on quality and risk management, lead internal and external audits, and drive initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, reduce liabilities, and build stakeholder confidence.
By aligning quality, risk, and compliance efforts with organizational objectives, the Director plays a pivotal role in supporting sustainable growth and maintaining the organization's reputation for excellence.
Salary - £101,000 - £106,000

Strategic Leadership
Provide direction and oversight of the development and implementation of a comprehensive Quality, Risk, and Compliance strategy aligned with the organisation's goals.
Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing guidance on risk mitigation, compliance, and quality assurance.
Lead the integration of QRC initiatives into business operations to foster continuous improvement and compliance.
Quality Assurance & Improvement
Oversee Quality Management Systems (QMS) to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Support the definition, monitoring, and reporting of KPIs and quality metrics.
Lead audits and evaluations to identify and improve inefficiencies.
Champion customer-centric operational processes.
Risk Management
Develop and maintain a Risk Management Framework, identifying and mitigating risks.
Lead business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
Monitor industry risks and adjust policies proactively.
Provide risk insights and reports to leadership.
Compliance Oversight
Ensure compliance with all applicable standards and regulations.
Engage with regulators and certifying bodies.
Develop policies, procedures, and training for compliance.
Monitor and address compliance breaches.
Policy and Procedure Development
Create and update policies supporting QRC objectives aligned with strategic goals.
Incident and Issue Management
Investigate and resolve compliance breaches and risk events.
Reporting and Stakeholder Communication
Provide regular updates on quality, risk, and compliance to leadership and stakeholders.
Strategic Thinking and Vision
Develop and implement long-term QRC strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
Integrate QRC frameworks into business operations for continuous improvement.
Stay aware of emerging risks and industry trends for proactive policy adjustments.
Deep Knowledge of Regulatory, Legal, and Industry Standards
Understand relevant legal and regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, ISO standards, and health & safety laws.
Familiarity with global compliance standards for multi-jurisdictional organizations.
Experience with audits and managing regulator relationships.
Risk Management Expertise
Design and implement comprehensive Risk Management Frameworks.
Understand business continuity and disaster recovery strategies.
Assess complex risks and advise stakeholders.
Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement
Knowledge of QMS and frameworks like ISO 9001, Lean, Six Sigma, TQM.
Define and report on KPIs and quality metrics.
Lead process improvement initiatives.
