As Director of Product Management for StoreGen, you will own Stores AI community and AI adoption initiatives and lead the vision and roadmap for products critical to Amazon's pivot toward AI-native - a fundamental shift that promises to drive step-changes in engineering team productivity and revolutionize how we build software. You will lead a team of Principal Product Managers driving innovation across the software development lifecycle, from automated code generation and testing to AI-assisted operations and compliance. This role sits at the intersection of AI technology and enterprise-scale software development, with direct impact on how thousands of Amazon engineers build and ship code. Your leadership will be instrumental in transforming how thousands of Amazon engineers build and deploy software, accelerating the company's adoption of AI-native development practices. Through your guidance, your team will build and scale internal developer communities while driving efficiency and innovation across Amazon's technical organization. Key Job Responsibilities
- Community Leadership and AI Adoption A cornerstone of your role will be leading the Stores AI Lighthouse (SAIL) Program, Amazon Store's central hub for AI resources and community building. Through SAIL, you'll shape how thousands of developers across Amazon discover, adopt, and leverage AI tools in their daily work. You'll establish knowledge-sharing forums, streamline 3P tool approvals, and create mechanisms for scaling successful AI practices across the organization.
- StoreGen's Product Portfolio In this role, you'll lead and mentor a high-performing team of Principal Product Managers overseeing StoreGen's AI development platforms and tools. You'll define the product vision and roadmap for StoreGen's portfolio, including tools that span the software development lifecycle.
- Strategic Partnership Working directly with Stores' AI-native single threaded leader, you'll help shape and drive the technical strategy and vision for AI-native development. This role offers significant engagement with VP and SVP stakeholders as we advance Amazon's AI transformation, providing opportunities to participate in strategic discussions that influence Amazon's technical future. Your day-to-day will involve close partnership with Engineering, Science, and Program Management leadership to ensure seamless execution across the organization.
Basic Qualifications
- 15+ years of leading the conception and delivery of high-scale products and services
- Deep understanding of software development practices and tools
- Strong creative, communication, and analytic skills.
- Demonstrated ability as a "technical diplomat", able to work across diverse organizational cultures
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing APIs, service endpoints, and tooling for developers
- Familiarity with modern GenAI tools
- A sense of humor and proven willingness to have fun

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $237,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $350,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
