Overview The purpose of this position is to perform the essential process design duties for LNG projects. This role develops, manages and executes process design activities in conformance with company policies, contracts, plans, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates. It directs staff to meet or exceed project process objectives and requires authoritative knowledge and the ability to move between intuitive and analytical approaches. Responsibilities Develop, manage and deliver process designs for LNG units including gas treating, dehydration, NGL recovery, and refrigeration systems (single and multicomponent/mixed) for LNG liquefaction, re-gasification, storage and loading terminals. Develop and select conceptual liquefaction and other flow scheme configurations considering licensor technology, cost, safety, reliability, maintainability, and machinery (e.g., compressors and drivers). Lead or direct other engineers to develop heat and material balances using process simulation software, and prepare process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), hydraulic calculations, equipment data sheets and instrument data, process descriptions and performance test procedures. Work with licensors to select licensor technology and participate in project risk, process, constructability, commissioning, start-up and safety processes such as HAZID/HAZOP. Lead process design activities for projects and coordinate with project teams on process design needs to support the schedule. Plan and manage the process design scope, information exchange, communication, and tracking of needs, requirements, and issues. Interpret basis of design documents to ensure deliverables meet requirements and control the process design group schedule and cost through efficient resource use. Participate in process, safety, design and constructability reviews and support handover to commissioning and operations. Other duties as assigned. To Be Considered Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located and be able to interview on site. Basic Job Requirements Accredited 4-year degree or global equivalent in chemical engineering and minimum of 20 years process design experience in the oil and gas industry. Minimum 10 years process design experience with LNG projects. Other Job Requirements Ability to communicate effectively and make presentations with audiences including management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders. Attention to detail and ability to work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner. Preferred Qualifications Professional certification is a plus. Experience with commissioning, start-up and performance testing at project sites. Experience with LNG liquefaction process design and optimization. Experience with LNG project process design from conceptual design studies through FEED, EPC, commissioning and start-up. Experience with LSTK and reimbursable projects. Experience working with LNG and gas treating technology licensors. Functional knowledge with process simulation tools. Experience writing effective proposals and technical documents. Experience managing teams of 10 or more and distributed work execution.
