As the Director of Primary Care Services, you will be a leader in healthcare innovation, reporting directly to the Chief Medical Officer. This critical role involves planning and delivering comprehensive primary care services across our network and guiding clinicians to ensure the highest standards of care.
Position Overview
We are seeking a candidate who can cultivate a collaborative atmosphere among medical practitioners to achieve outstanding clinical outcomes and improve patient access.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor teams of physicians and clinicians in primary care locations.
Develop and implement clinical strategies aligned with our mission and objectives.
Oversee quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care outcomes.
Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer to shape organizational strategies and growth.
Drive development and redesign of clinical programs based on analytical data.
Provide direct clinical care at 0.2 FTE to support vacation coverage when possible; participate in on-call rotations as needed.
Qualifications
Board Certified Primary Care Physician (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, or similar primary care field).
Current MD/DO license in Rhode Island.
A minimum of three years in a progressive physician leadership role.
At least five years of clinical experience.
Demonstrated ability in clinical leadership, with a focus on coaching and developing physicians.
Experience utilizing metrics-driven approaches to analyze healthcare data and inform clinical strategies.
Capable of maintaining hospital privileges according to PCHC policies.
Commitment to professional education and certification as required.
