A growing manufacturing firm is seeking a Plant Quality Director in Santa Clarita, CA. The base pay range for this position is $165,000.00/yr - $190,000.00/yr. Job Details The Director of Plant Quality will oversee all 24/7 quality assurance and quality control activities, develop and oversee quality policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with local, regional, state, federal, and international laws and regulations. Oversee quality assurance and quality control activities across 1.4 million sqft of production space. Develop and oversee quality policies, procedures, and methods to inspect, test, and validate product and production processes. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Serve as the primary point of customer contact for quality and food safety-related communication. Collaborate with senior management to set quality benchmarks and ensure high-quality documentation. Lead digitization efforts for quality reporting and compliance processes. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and oversee implementation of enhanced initiatives. Develop and maintain an annual departmental budget for quality activities. Manage certification processes, including SQF, NSF, Organic, and Kosher. Maintain and qualify critical food safety functions, including recall and withdrawal procedures. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in food science, microbiology, or a related field required. Advanced degree in food science or a related field preferred. 8+ years of direct leadership experience in a large, complex quality environment. Deep understanding of Title 21 of the Food, Drug, & Cosmetic Act. Demonstrated history of managing multi-site organizations.
