Director of Pharmacy Operations- Long Term Care Pharmacy

Our client, an innovative pharmacy servicing the needs of patients in long-term care and assisted-living facilities, is seeking a pharmacist with solid leadership skills for the Director of Pharmacy Operations role in their branch located in the Omaha NE area.Reporting to the President, the Director of Pharmacy functions as the team leader for the pharmacists and pharmacy technicians within the pharmacy, overseeing each of these vital areas to provide overall quality pharmacy services.Main responsibilities in this role include: Ensure pharmacy operations are conducted properly, within budget and with excellent patient care and customer service Responsible for strategic decisions including appropriate staffing levels, operational efficiency and regulatory compliance Provide the highest possible quality pharmacy services, leading the team to build exceptional customer relationships, quality assurance and customer retention Develop and implement system and process improvements to provide unparalleled pharmacy services Participate in the development of the budget and monitoring financial reports relating to performance Review and improve inventory and prior authorization/refill processes Maintain appropriate inventory and keep records as required Develop and manage cost containment programs, including DURs Manage human resources, including hiring, training, advancement and retention of staff Requirements: BS Pharmacy or Pharm D degree Current pharmacy license in NE (or eligible to reciprocate) Excellent leadership and communication skills with proven track record of building and coaching successful teams 5+ years of leadership experience in a fast-paced pharmacy operation. Experience in long term care pharmacy setting a plus. Experience in Frameworks or QS1 preferred.
