What You'll Be Doing:
Lead analytics partnerships with Business Development and Product teams in shaping strategies for innovative value-based care opportunities.
Collaborate closely with analytics on the development and underwriting of capitated risk proposals, encompassing cost and utilization projections, trend analysis, and quality improvement estimates.
Guide a team in interpreting medical and pharmaceutical cost data to identify potential risks and benefits of various proposals.
Work with actuarial, finance, and analytics teams to adapt new product innovations into existing analytical models and reporting frameworks.
Develop clear analytical models and synthesize findings into concise presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Assist in creating budgets and performance forecasts for new business relationships, translating key insights into actionable tracking metrics.
Establish efficient processes in collaboration with partner departments to streamline all stages of the proposal development process.
Utilize programming skills to analyze large datasets for deliverable completion with minimal oversight.
Build trust and cooperation through effective customer interactions, addressing their needs and objectives with statistical analysis and data reports.
Manage, mentor, and coach a team of analysts to achieve their goals and maintain accountability through performance metrics.
The Experience You'll Need (Required):
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative major (e.g., actuarial science, statistics, mathematics, economics) or a healthcare focus (e.g., public health, health administration).
5+ years of experience in claims-based healthcare analytics from a payer, provider, managed care, or healthcare consulting background.
In-depth understanding of healthcare claims, including institutional vs. professional billing and various sites of care.
Experience with healthcare reimbursement methodologies and calculations such as DRGs, Revenue Codes, and bundled payments.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SQL or SAS programming languages.
Moderate proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and experience with data analysis and reporting.
Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders and translate business needs into analytical solutions.
Strong track record of deriving insights from quantitative and qualitative data.
Previous people management experience.
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
Finishing Touches (Preferred):
Master's Degree in a quantitative or healthcare field.
Prior experience in a medical economics role related to Utilization Management.
Familiarity with value-based care management and healthcare underwriting methodologies.
Proficiency in additional programming languages or platforms such as R, Python, or BI tools like Power BI is a plus.
Technical Requirements: All employees must have high-speed internet with a minimum of 10 Mbps access and the capability to connect directly to their home internet router. These requirements may change pending office re-openings.

Comprehensive benefits (including health insurance) are also available to qualified employees. Compensation is based on the skills and experience required for the position, which may vary.
