Job Summary
The Director of Paid Search will lead the planning and execution of all paid search initiatives across platforms including Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and Connexity. This role is responsible for driving profitable growth, ensuring WebstaurantStore remains at the forefront of digital advertising innovation, and reporting marketing performance and strategy to the C-suite. The Director of Paid Search will also be tasked with managing a team of PPC specialists and working with the Marketing Data Science and Analytics teams to design, develop, and report on PPC experiments.
Remote Work Qualifications
Access to a reliable and secure high-speed internet connection. Cable or fiber internet connections (at least mbps download/mbps upload) are preferred, as satellite connections often cannot support the technologies used to perform day-to-day tasks.
Access to a home router and modem.
A dedicated home office space that is noise- and distraction-free. The space should have strong wireless connection or a wired Ethernet connection (wired connection is preferred, if possible).
A valid, physical address (apartment, suite, etc.). PO Boxes are not supported, as a physical address is required for you to receive your computer equipment.
The desire and ability to work and communicate with other team members via chat, webcam, etc.

Responsibilities
Own and drive the paid search strategy across all channels, aligning with company goals and marketing objectives
Lead and mentor a team comprised of a PPC Manager who is supported by Sr., Mid, and Jr. Paid Search Specialists
Oversee campaign architecture and strategy for Search, Shopping, PMax, and AI Max campaigns
Lead a culture of experimentation by designing and overseeing paid search tests—including ad copy, bidding strategies, audience segmentation, landing pages and more
Oversee budget allocation and monthly spend pacing across platforms
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including SEO, CRO, Analytics, Merchandising, and Data Science
Champion innovation by identifying new opportunities, testing emerging formats, and evolving account structures
Ensure reporting accuracy and actionable insights through partnership with the Marketing Data team
Present performance updates, strategic plans, and growth opportunities to senior leadership
Support recruitment, onboarding, and professional development within the Paid Search team
You’ll manage a team that includes:
A Paid Search Manager for PPC platforms and a Paid Media Manager for social, video, and direct mail
Sr. Paid Search Specialists who act as mentors and strategic contributors
Mid-level and Junior Specialists focused on execution, optimization, and reporting
Interns and new hires who require onboarding and training in ad platforms and campaign strategy
Physical Requirements
Work is performed while sitting/standing and interfacing with a personal computer.
Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
Requires occasional bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
Requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to lbs.
Qualifications
Experience
8+ years of experience in paid search or digital advertising, with 5+ years in a leadership role
Proven success managing large-scale search budgets and complex account structures
Deep expertise in Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Google Analytics, Google Merchant Center and Google and Bing Ads Editor programs
Strong analytical skills and comfort with data-driven decision-making
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Experience in eCommerce or retail preferred
Demonstrated ability to lead in ambiguity and make strategic decisions in “gray areas”
Passion for experimentation, innovation, and continuous learning
Education
