Description Director of Operations – Multi-Office Dental Group Location: Dearborn Heights, MI Offices: General Practice & Multi-Specialty Are you a strong, organized, and people-focused leader ready to take on a high-impact role in a growing dental group? We’re looking for a Director of Operations to oversee and drive performance across two established practices in Dearborn Heights, Michigan — one General Dentistry office and one Multi-Specialty practice (including Periodontics, Pediatrics, Orthodontics, Oral Surgery, and Endodontics). This is a key leadership position for someone who thrives on accountability, team development, and operational excellence. You’ll partner directly with ownership to implement systems, optimize performance, and support doctors and staff in delivering an exceptional patient experience. What You’ll Do Oversee daily operations across both offices — ensuring efficiency, consistency, and a positive culture.
Lead, coach, and develop office managers, treatment coordinators, and support staff.
Drive performance goals related to production, collections, and patient experience.
Collaborate with clinical leadership to ensure smooth scheduling, patient flow, and team communication.
Monitor KPIs and financial metrics; identify areas for improvement and implement action plans.
Support recruiting, onboarding, and training of new team members.
Manage vendor relationships, budgets, and operational logistics between both offices.
Report directly to ownership and provide strategic input on growth and expansion.
Who You Are Experienced Leader: 5+ years in multi-office dental or healthcare management (DSO experience preferred).
Strategic & Hands-On: Comfortable balancing big-picture thinking with day-to-day execution.
Data-Driven: Confident interpreting performance metrics and using data to guide decisions.
People-Oriented: Excellent communication skills and proven ability to build and maintain strong, motivated teams.
Operationally Savvy: Skilled in scheduling systems, HR processes, and insurance/RCM workflows.
Results-Focused: Goal-oriented and accountable, with a passion for growth and operational excellence.
