Job Title: Director of Operations

Reports To: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Location: Midwest (frequent travel required)

Position Summary

The Director of Operations provides leadership and oversight for Trace Medicals operations across the United States. This role supports the COO in driving operational excellence, training new employees, drafting and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs), and ensuring efficiency across facilities. The Director of Operations acts as a key problem solver and leader, ensuring service quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide operational leadership and oversight for multiple facilities.
  • Travel frequently to company sites to support teams, troubleshoot issues, and ensure consistency.
  • Train and onboard new employees, reinforcing company standards and culture.
  • Draft, update, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Conduct annual performance reviews and provide coaching to team members.
  • Monitor operational metrics and collaborate with leadership to improve efficiency, safety, and service quality.
  • Partner with the COO to identify areas for process improvement and implement lean methodologies.
  • Support company growth by assisting with site launches, workforce planning, and operational integration.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field (Masters preferred).
  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare, biomedical services, or related technical operations.
  • Proven track record of managing multi-site operations.
  • Strong background in training, performance management, and SOP development.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Willingness to travel frequently across the Midwest.
  • Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement certification preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range: $115,000 $150,000, commensurate with experience.
  • Performance-based bonus eligibility (1020% of base).
  • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
