Our client is a well-established and growing food manufacturing company known for delivering high-quality products to retailers and consumers across the U.S. With a commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction, they are seeking a results-driven Director of Operations to lead their supply chain and transportation functions. About the Role The Director of Operations will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, production planning, and transportation logistics. This is a critical leadership role that ensures the efficient, cost-effective, and timely delivery of products while maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, and service. Key Responsibilities Lead and optimize all aspects of the supply chain including sourcing, procurement, inventory, production scheduling, warehousing, and distribution Oversee transportation strategy, including freight management, carrier negotiations, and delivery performance Partner closely with production, quality assurance, and sales to ensure alignment between operations and customer needs Implement and monitor KPIs to drive operational efficiency, cost control, and service level improvements Develop and lead initiatives for process improvement, automation, and scalability across the supply chain Manage vendor and supplier relationships, ensuring quality standards, cost control, and contract compliance Ensure compliance with all regulatory, food safety, and quality standards Build and mentor a high-performing team focused on accountability, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration Contribute to strategic planning and budgeting processes in alignment with company goals Qualifications 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain and operations, preferably in the food or CPG manufacturing industry Proven leadership experience managing multi-site logistics, transportation, and supply chain operations Strong understanding of ERP systems, demand planning tools, and transportation management systems (TMS) Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma a plus) Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or related field (MBA preferred) Why Join?
