Responsibilities Finance (80%): Oversee all financial operations, including accounts receivable/payable, banking, payroll, and reporting. Partner with the CEO and Board to guide strategic direction, monitor organizational performance, and manage risk. Lead budgeting, forecasting, audits, and financial planning, and support a strong, resilient, and continuously improving organization. Manage organizational compliance including state & local filings, federal grant terms, policies and budgetary restrictions. Maintain policies for all organizational insurance policies (e.g. Workers Compensation, General Liability, etc). Supervise a part-time Operations Coordinator. Legal (10%): Work with pro bono legal support to prepare, review, negotiate terms and finalize contracts with Sponsors, Teachers (non-employee) and with other contracted service providers. Human Resources (5%): Administer employee 401K plans, manage hiring for staff (e.g. summer temp staff), ensure compliance with employment laws, and update employee handbook and training. Facilities/Office Operations (5%): Manage Igniteds in-kind office space at Agilent Technologies, including maintaining documentation and coordinating office-related needs and policies. Qualifications 5 years of experience in financial management and employment regulation compliance, including managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, banking, and payroll. Strong understanding of GAAP and financial management. Skilled in generating financial reports and assisting in budget development and re-forecasting. Experience with federal grant compliance, including budgets and reporting, is a plus. Nonprofit experience preferred. Proactive and self-directed, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify issues, evaluate solutions, and follow through independently Position Term, Hours, Location and Salary This position reports to the CEO and is a full-time (40 hrs/week), exempt position eligible for hybrid work based at the Ignited office within Agilent Technologies in Santa Clara, California. Weekly hours for this position are flexible, with very limited weekends or evenings as dictated by business need. Salary is $105,000-130,000, based on qualifications and potential contributions to Ignited.
